Wednesday COVID-19 coverage: Multiple vaccination clinics offered in mid-Missouri today

4:50 p.m.: Boone County stays steady under 100 active cases The Columbia/Boone County Department of Public Health & Human Services reported 14 new COVID-19 cases in the past 24 hours, bringing the total number of active cases to 98. According to the Missouri vaccine dashboard, an estimated 43.6% of Boone County s 180,463 residents have received at least one vaccine dose.  135,946 total doses administered of a vaccine 78,608 COVID-19 vaccine regimen activated 58,937 COVID-19 vaccine regimen completed 5,875 doses have been administered in the past 7 days The county also reported 8 hospitalizations, 1 of which is a Boone County resident.  There are currently 3 COVID-19 patients in the ICU and 0 on a ventilator.

Boone County walk-in vaccination sites begin Wednesday

BOONE COUNTY - The Columbia/Boone County Public Health and Human Services is offering walk-in vaccination locations starting on Wednesday. The clinics, spread out across the county, will not require an appointment, proof of health insurance, or an ID. Vaccines will be available to anyone above the age of 16, but written consent must be given for anyone under the age of 18. All sites will be administering the Pfizer vaccine.  The first walk-in location will be hosted by Health officials at Centralia Intermediate School beginning at 3:30 p.m. on Wednesday.  The three walk-in events are as follows: Centralia - Centralia Intermediate School (550 West Lakeview Avenue)
